After the disruptions of lockdown in 2021, The Henley Arts Trail is back on track for the early May bank holiday weekend.
More than 200 artists will be exhibiting their work at 36 venues in and around Henley-on-Thames, including pubs, public spaces and private homes. One of the venues is in Sonning Common in our garden. My husband Robin and I have been doing our own arty thing for many years – Robin as a keen draughtsman and water-colourist and myself as a professional muralist and furniture painter. But we are newcomers to Sonning Common, so this is our first Arts Trail venture.
Hollow Art, as we call ourselves, will be showing a number of pieces including Robin’s panorama of modern London in the style of Visscher’s 1616 engraving, and my hand-decorated regency-style Davenport desk.
We look forward to seeing you here – April 30, May 1 and 2, 10am to 5pm.
